Virtual workplaces and teleworking
Project work permitting, our employees are free to work from home. Thanks to modern methods of communication, documents can be passed on easily and information is quickly exchanged . Our remote workers are integrated in the company's intranet and participate regularly at company meetings. This ensures that they maintain social contact with the team, are always informed, and have an active role in company events.
Proximity to the workplace and infrastructure
Comet Computer's city office is located in Munich city center, just a
few minutes away from the site of the annual Oktoberfest beer festival
and the central railway station. Due to this central location, the journey
to work is relatively short for most employees. As a result, they often
choose not to drive, but go by bicycle or public transport (subway, bus,
and tram stops are all within short walking distance).
Employees who want to escape the city (or maybe live outside the city)
and prefer to be in more peaceful surroundings and idyllic countryside
work at Comet Computer's second office. The Höhenrain office is located
south of Munich in the foothills the German Alps and just a stone's throw
from Lake Starnberg. It can be easily reached by car.
Child care
In the early days, the company set up and funded a play group for children aged between two and six years. However, as the "company's offspring" reached school age and additional siblings were born, Comet developed a new approach to child care. With the agreement of the parents and bearing in mind their needs, the child care facility near the office was replaced with the option of working flexible hours and teleworking. Our office in Höhenrain provides all-round after-school care for children of school age, including help with homework - a service that can also be used during the school holidays by all "company" children. If there are no other alternatives available, children are made welcome in the office. If they are ill, we can usually find a quick solution.
Activities for partners, children, and friends
Several times a year, Comet Computer organizes various events to help promote team spirit. We celebrate our successes and our staff, we present our expert knowledge of current topics, and we organize group activities in our leisure time, such as skiing weekends and hiking trips. Partners, children, and friends of our employees, as well as customers and guests are always invited to our events.
