Process-Oriented Approaches to English-Language Documentation
English is increasingly the common language and source language of many projects, even though it is not the first language of the majority of the writers in project teams. This places greater demands not only on technical writers but also on managers and coordinators.
How can the quality of language and information be assured? How can documentation be meaningfully reused? How can translation costs be kept to a minimum? Successful documentation projects need people who see beyond the basic language issues and strategically plan, implement, and manage language-related processes.
Course AimThe aim of this seminar is to provide practical strategies and solutions for streamlining language-related processes in English-language documentation projects.
